Scotts Diner

Visiting family in Merced and looking for a place that serves a wholesome country breakfast. Scott’s is the place! The country potatoes were perfectly seasoned and crisp and the veggie omelette was stuffed with delicious veggies. The toast is thick sliced. The service was excellent from start to finish. We didn’t feel rushed to leave even though we were done eating and service stayed the same even as it got busier.

First time here second time for my wife! Our meal was absolutely delicious ! We had funnel cake fries as a side those were the first to come out which my wife and I loved! Few minutes passed and got our main dishes , burger was cooked perfectly, from the bun to the lettuce, tomato, cheese , pickles and red onions. That was my wife's order for mine I had the all meat omlette oh boy it was so good cooked nicely Compliments to the chef ! Great atmosphere and vintage pictures to historical newspapers on the wall. Really chill vibes! Can't wait to go again almost forgot MUST TRY ( SWEET POTATO FRIES)

I dined here with my niece and two nephews recently and had a really good experience. I ordered a medium steak with over medium eggs and country potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly and overall the food was flavorful and well made. The kids also had all positive things to say. They loved the garlic fries and ranch in particular. The service staff checked on our table periodically to make sure we had everything we needed. We went on a Saturday right at 11:30am so it was busy however that did not impact the service. We did have to wait a short time for a table but it wasn’t anything too inconvenient. All in all, we ordered steak and eggs, three burgers, three sodas and a coffee. The total was 87 so the price was decent as well.

Good atmosphere, Great Customer service. Mr.Scott is a very nice Humbled guy and is very tentative to his customers. Great Food and Customer service goes a long way, give this place a try and you will not be disappointed! His employees keep very busy tending to customers needs, and keeping traffic flowing.I ordered the double western burger bacon cheeseburger with garlic fries. Let me tell you, it was not a disappointment. The burger had a lot of flavor, it was very juicy. The garlic fries also has good flavor and golden crispy. By far it’s the best burger in town as my fiancé and I tried just about all the burger joints in town. Delicious!!!

What a gem of a breakfast spot we found! We travel from the Bay to the Valley often, googled breakfast near us and found Scott’s Diner with a 4.8 rating so we decided to stop and they didn’t disappoint! Its a busy litter diner in a great location. Easy access, right off the freeway! We got seated right away, service was excellent, waitress was attentive and the meal was just like home! This will be our new stop when we travel! Try them, you won’t be disappointed.

Great food and very affordable! I tried their biscuits and gravy and it was sooo good definitely recommend getting them! Fast service as well!

I've always seen Scott's diner but never have I stopped in, this was a massive mistake, from their welcoming decor to their wonderful food this place has it all.One of the most important things to me is community and character. These Scott's diner has in great amounts. The way the owner lights up when he speaks about his grandfather's ww2 helmet or the way the staff talks to you I felt appreciated and welcomed.Great food, large portions, great prices and amazing service all make Scott's diner an amazing place for everyone!

This is the best diner in town, hands down. If you're passing through Merced and feeling hungry, you can't miss this spot. I've eaten here several times, and it never disappoints. The best time to visit is between opening and mid-afternoon, but be warned—it gets busy. But worth the wait! :)Last Update(9/22/2024): Best diner ever! Thank you guys!
